Everyone is different, some people really swell, some do not. Just to be safe I would be prepared to be super swollen and bruised for the first day then this should subside over the next two weeks.

No makeup or lip products for at least 12 hours.
Sleep with your head elevated.
Avoid alcohol and Aspirin for the next 24 hours if you have bruising.
